Rocketman and Kingsman star Taron Egerton has replaced The Batman’s Robert Pattinson in an upcoming romantic drama thriller titled The Stars at Noon.
As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the former Twilight saga actor has had to step down from the film due to scheduling conflicts.
The role in question is a man who works for a dodgy British oil company and meets a struggling female reporter in a hotel bar, and they become “entangled”.
The film is set in the Central American country Nicaragua during a period of political turmoil and violence. The novel it’s based on was released in 1980.
The movie is being directed by Claire Denis, who previously worked with Pattinson on High Life, a science-fiction horror film from 2018. The people behind the project have taken it to Cannes to find buyers.
Egerton has a few projects in store for Apple. Earlier this year, it was announced that he will lead a six-part TV crime series called In with the Devil, as well as a movie about the creation and rise of iconic video game Tetris.
Of course, there’s a third Kingsman film in the planning, but we don’t know when it will start production.

Ray Liotta has signed on the upcoming Apple drama series “In With the Devil,” Variety has confirmed.
Liotta joins previously announced series leads Taron Egerton and Paul Walter Hauser.
The six-episode series would be based on the 2010 novel “In With The Devil: A Fallen Hero, A Serial Killer, and A Dangerous Bargain for Redemption” by James Keene and Hillel Levin. The book tells the story of Keene’s real life when he was sentenced to prison but offered his freedom in exchange for coaxing a confession out of a fellow inmate, a suspected serial killer.
The series is described as being told through the lens of an intimate relationship between two prisoners, exploring the lengths that people will go to in order to seek redemption, if true absolution is ever really possible, and if so, at what costs. Egerton will star as Keene, with Hauser playing the serial killer. Liotta will appear in the role of Big Jim.
Liotta is primarily known for his feature roles, having starred in iconic films like “Goodfellas” and “Field of Dreams.” He is no stranger to television work, though, most recently starring opposite Jennifer Lopez in the NBC cop drama “Shades of Blue.” His other feature roles include “Marriage Story,” “Narc,” and “John Q,” while his other TV roles include “Smith,” “Texas Rising,” and “Our Family Honor.”
He is repped by Gersh, Authentic Talent and Literary Management, and Viewpoint.
Dennis Lehane will write and executive produce the adaptation of “In With the Devil.” Imperative Entertainment’s Bradley Thomas, Dan Friedkin, and Ryan Friedkin will also executive produce along with Egerton, Richard Plepler via EDEN Productions, Alexandra Milchan, Scott Lambert, Kary Antholis, and Keene. Michaël R. Roskam will direct and executive produce the series. Apple Studios will produce.
Deadline first reported Liotta’s casting.
Hey everyone! It’s Jen, the original owner of the site. I have taken the site back over with the amazing Joshua still on as a co-web. I have been hard at work updating the gallery (which is almost completely updated!) and I’ve just put up a new look on both the main site as well as the gallery.
Once I’m finished with the gallery, I will be doing some updating with the pages on the main site as well, so keep an eye out on those!
